He Is Risen
Happy Easter. What a special, spiritual holiday. I love Easter. I like that its getting warmer, tulips are blooming, and the clothing is perfect. It's also less stressful on us moms. The kids had a great Easter. Ava got a gymnastics mat, Noah got a bike, and Liam got a small power wheels 4-wheeler. They also got their baskets full of books, movies, candy, clothes, and other small items. They were so excited and Ava said, "This is the best Easter ever. The Easter Bunny is so nice!" Noah woke up first and sprinted down the stairs and came back up and told us he got a bike, helmet, and Liam got a 4-wheeler. Ava had a rough night so she didn't wake up very early. Noah could hardly wait for everyone to wake up. After church, we had my family over dinner. Darrin's family, Valerie, Dad, Alisha, and Dallin's family all came over for dinner. We had ham, potatoes, fruit, veggies, salad, deviled eggs, and chips and salsa. We also had an Easter Egg Hunt. At first, Liam just threw the eggs. Then one popped open and he saw candy inside and he was so excited and understood to go get more eggs. We also celebrated Ava's birthday. We sang to her, had cupcakes and ice cream, and opened presents. She put her presents on top of the gymnastics mat and set out a chair for her to sit on. She is too cute!! She got clothes, shoes, jewelry, and lots of money. It was a fun-filled day with lots of food and excitement! I had a moment to reflect on the Atonement and how it has blessed me in my life. It's amazing how the older you get the more you rely on Christ. Not because of sins, but as comfort and peace.
