It's Beginnning to Look a Lot Like Christmas....

(post by Marissa) This past week my parents came in town to visit. Usually when my mom comes in town we do a little shopping; mostly clothes/makeup shopping. I really only shop with a few people and more often than not it's my mom. Anyways, this past time she came we did some shopping, but much different shopping. Since I am pregnant and there are not really maternity stores in Lubbock and I don't really care to have all these clothes I can only wear for a few months, we went baby and house shopping. My life is already changing. This little baby is getting all the attention and she is not even here yet! As we were walking around anything we saw, it was for her! We went to nearly every baby store in Lubbock looking for furniture, stroller, bedding, and other essentials. My dad is a trooper and sat in the car reading, checking emails, talking on the phone while my mom were in the various stores. He came in every once in a while to check on us and sat in the back of Babies R Us on the rocking chairs. The good thing though is we nearly decided on all the major items such as crib, dresser, hutch, stroller, infant carrier, and bedding (85% decided). We also decorated for Christmas. Steve and I haven't really decorated for Christmas that much because usually we are busy with finals and stuff and then we leave for almost 3 weeks to visit family. However, since we are now adults and such we should probably have a house that looks like we celebrate Christmas (and since I don't have much else to shop for..i guess I should focus on my house). It definitely does this year! I will post some pics as soon as we finish decorating the tree (we need more ornaments). Thank you Mom and Dad!!
