Mommy Cards

(post by Marissa) Emily, (my co-worker), has a friend who designs "mommy cards." She asked me what I thought of them, and I instantly loved them. Mommy cards are business cards for moms. They have your name on them and then they usually say, "mommy of .........(kid's names). They make some of them so cute. Now when you go to PTA meetings, meet someone new at a playgroup, or meet with your child's teacher, you can give them your "mommy card" instead of digging through your purse to find some scratch paper and pen. It is so much cuter and more professional to give a business card then tear off a piece of paper or even better use the back of receipt to give out your info.
I don't know how many of you have seen "The Nanny Diaries," but the mom in it gives her business card (mommy card) to the prospective nanny. Anyways, I think they are so cute and sophisticated. So, when you see me at a playdate (when I have children) I'll give you my mommy card...after all aren't moms CEO of the household (One Fine Day). Also, if being a mom isn't a full-time job with the need for a wide-range of expertise then I don't know what is!
Just put, "mommy cards," in your google toolbar and lots of websites will come up. The prices range from anywhere between, $.20 to $1.00 per card. I think they would make a great gift! This is a pic of one my friend created.
Here is one that I really like! I like how it has the child's info on the back such as allergies, fav
foods, etc.
