Speech Festival and St. Patrick's Day

Well, we learned a few years ago that St. Patrick's Day is a really fun holiday.  The kids get so excited to see what the leprechaun will bring and do.  They love to wear green.  Our leprechaun always dyes the milk green and lucky charms.  This year he did a few more things.  He brought them little pots of gold and a rainbow of skittles, made a mess in the house, and brought green drinks!

Starting in kindergarten, students at Challenger learn a new speech every week and recite it on Friday.  In the spring, they pick a speech to perform and the top 3 from each class go on to compete against each other.  Last year Ava was selected as one of the top 3.  In first grade, Ava was again selected as a top 3 finalist.  She went on to compete against the other 1st grade classes.  She didn't get a top 3, but she was very close and had a great experience.  Noah really enjoyed watching the festival and was so good the whole time.  I  think he is starting to look forward to some of the things he gets to do and learn.  Even Liam was pretty good for it!  It ended at about 2:30 and we pick Ava up at 3:15 so we had 45 minutes to kill.

We decided to go to the outlets and get Ava her favorite treat, a carmel apple.  The Easter Bunny was there so we also decided to see the Easter Bunny.  Noah liked it of course, but Liam wasn't too sure.  He liked the idea of it, but didn't want to get too close. Liam loved the freedom of just walking around outside, exploring new places, and being with his brother. He is a lot like Ava that he doesn't like to be in the stroller and loves new places.  He is getting to the age where we can actually go out again, but a new baby is going to put that to an end quickly!
