Happy Birthday Steve
Steve turned 34 on March 2nd! The kids and I decorated the house and had pizza and cupcakes for him when he got home from picking Ava up for gymnastics. The kids loved being a part of the planning and execution. Ava made a sign, Noah blew up balloons, and Liam played with it all. Earlier that day, I met Steve for lunch at Village Baker. Steve, Liam, and I had a great lunch date. Steve loves puzzles but he didn't have one, so we got him a puzzle. He and the kids have been working on it. He is teaching them some basic puzzle skills. I am not visual and not very good at them. Its fun to be able to involve the kids more and see how excited they get to make someone else happy. We love Steve and he is the rock, joy, and excitement in this house! On Friday night for more birthday celebration we went to dinner and the movies. The plan was to see Kung Fu Panda, but then Zootopia came out so we decided to see that. It was a major disappointment. The language was not for 4 and 6 year olds and the storyline was above their heads. We should have seen Kung Fu Panda, but Zootopia got good reviews. We ended up leaving early because Liam was being difficult and the kids were a little bored and I was unhappy with the language. Liam started fussing during the movie so Steve grabbed him to take him out and when he grabbed him, Liam got nurse maid elbow. Ava has had it a few times. It is nothing major but you have to sort of put the elbow back in place. Surprisingly and to my hesitation, Steve fixed it without having to go to the doctor at night. Liam seems to be doing well. We probably wont all be going to the movies for a while as Liam is not at a good age and not very many good family movies come out, unfortunately.
