The Dance Club

Ava started jazz and ballet in January. She had a recital for Jazz in May. She was so excited for the recital. She says jazz is her favorite, but she practices ballet quite a bit. She says ballet makes her legs hurt. I think from all the plies. On Saturday, before the recital, Ava and I went to get her dance pictures taken. I put some makeup on her for the pictures and she couldn't stop staring at herself in the mirror. You could tell she thought she looked so pretty and so grown up! Since it was just Ava and I she got a little sandwich and a cupcake at a cafe. It was great to have some alone time with my girl! She is growing up way too fast. On Monday, we had the recital. She knew every move, smiled the whole time, and was so enthusiastic. She loves performances. Our neighbor's daughter also takes dance at the Dance Club and took some great pictures of Ava and brought them to us. I was so happy he did that. Also, before the show started, Noah kept seeing a lot of people carrying flowers. He asked me if we should get some flowers. I told him daddy was bringing the flowers. As soon as Steve arrived, Noah wanted to hold the flowers and give them to Ava. Noah watched the entire show and really enjoyed it. Noah packs toys each week to play with while Ava is at dance. Well the recital was no different. He packed some toys in his bookbag. Midway through the recital, he leans over to me and asks for his binoculars. He proceeded to use them for the remainder of the show! He is too funny.
