(post by Marissa) I am not usually the type to put up all this great on my blog about Steve. However, he def is going to be one great dad! He has been so involved with everything with Ava to be. He has gone to Babies R Us, Target, and Kid Space more times than he would probably like to admit. He has looked at more shoes, bows, dresses, hats than most men do in a lifetime. I think he could tell you every baby brand I like. I have not purchased one outfit without him seeing it and giving his opinion on it. Usually he then sends me outfits he likes. Well, last night was the topper! He has been saying that he thinks I can make bows. He even went to Michael's with me to look at ribbon and saw a "Bow??" (its something to make bows). I told him I'm not making bows. I would have to get so many kinds of ribbon and I wouldnt be able to do it perfect. Well, this week I changed my mind and decided I could make some bows. I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday to get some essentials. After we went to dinner last night, we were supposed to watch a movie and such. However, if you know me when I have something I want to get done I have to do it immediately. So before we watched any sort of movie, out came the ribbon, glue gun, needle, and thread. And who was helping me and practically showing me how t do it...Steve. He found tutorials online, showed me how he thought I should do it and helped me the whole time. I wish I had a picture. I really cannot imagine any other guy helping his wife make baby bows! He stitched the middle and everything. I was highly impressed and grateful that he is willing to help with whatever.
My first bows are not perfect, but they were kind of trial runs...Eventually I'll get them perfect....

Miss.. those are so cute!! I love doing those sorts of things... Whenever I go shopping with my mom it always has to be a complete outfit.. from the shoes, socks, dress and accessories.. so if we have a girl I know I'm going to be like that with her.. so learning how to make my own bows like that I can match certain outfits!! You'll have to send me the link to the tutorial!! I love that Hobby Lobby store!! There are always so many cute ideas!!!
Steve & Greg sound a lot alike! And Greg is a wonderful, VERY hand-on dad! Those are the best. :)
I am also super impressed with your bows! You did a great job. Mine didn't look that good when I started making them, so way to go! :)
So cute marissa - I have become so crafty since becoming a mom and I was by no means talented in that area! Hobby lobby is my fave!
