(post by Marissa)
Dear October 15th,
I am glad you are gone. I have had enough of you. I have had enough sleepless nights and dreams of mileage and tuition deductions. Please don't creep up like that again either. Can you please change the clients of October 15th. Please remind them you are coming. I don't like to beg for their info. I know you come at the same time every year, but maybe you are sneaky and so people forget.....there are no more extensions. Uncle Sam actually needed his money yesterday, so really you have been paying interest and penalties since April. Can you help them have all their stuff in one place? Can you remind them their credit card purchases at Nordstroms are not deductible? Can you let them know I don't like digging through a huge mounting pile of nothing for the 1 paper I need? Please help them with organization, especially doctors and contractors. Contractors, I am on to you..100% of your car is not for business and you would have a cell phone even if you weren't a contractor. You can't fool me...though you try. Please help them not spill coffee on their papers. It grosses me out. Maybe then Oct.15th if you can do all of these things, I won't hate you anymore. I do love that my husband stepped in and made dinner though, so if you (Oct 15th) had anything to do with that, I thank you. Please do that again next year! Please fix all the rest though.
Sincerely,
An Exhausted Accountant

I am very sorry it was so rough marissa, however, I am very grateful for this post and it wouldn't have happened unless OCt. 15 existed! This was hilarious :) good job steve way to step up to the plate and be a good hubby!
I didn't realize you were pregnant until I saw your comment on my blog!! Congratulations!!! There is a really nice designer maternity store out here in SLC called Expected Maternity(they have a website too!) so that is where I bought my jeans. I definitely recommend trying them on first.
I am also on the search for the perfect diaper bag and am loving the ones by storksak. I was really into petunia picklebottom at first but you really need to pick one up at a store at look at/through it. They are super bulky!!
Marissa, you crack me up. Happy October 16th!!
ha ha ha--maybe a nice class of Pilates will help out your exhausted self!! Keep up the great work and P.S. the top is on the pool and the water is FREEZING!!!!
ok this has nothing to do with Taxes but it was your latest entry... but anyways.. Kiel and I are fans of the TV show "the office" and last night one of the characters had a baby and she brought the little girl into the office with an Orbit stroller and they talk about it and one of the other characters actually trys to destroy it to prove it's durablity.. anyways.. here's a link.. thought you would appreciate it... just watch the "baby shower" episode.

That made me laugh! Especially the coffee stains! :)
I'm glad you got through it!
HAHHaAHAHA! Funny. Especially the part about contractors. I do think they are some of the most dishonest people I know. Ever hear the joke about St. Peter needing to go to hell to get a contractor to build the Pearly Gates?
And have you ever seen this one? "Credit Card Expense."
ha ha...too bad we're guilty of all of the above! Love ya!! Glad you're on the ball the way ya are! Such a creative posting!
