Mother's Day Idea for Primary

(post by Marissa) Okay, this will be my last one for today. Some of you may teach primary and need a simple idea for Mother's Day. I know some primaries take care of it in Sharing time, but since we are in Nursery, Steve and I are on our own for something for the mothers. In my search for something, I found this little poem.

Mommy,If all these kisses aren't enough,
There's two hands to help with garden stuff.
If all these hugs don't work their charm,
There's two arms to help keep you warm.
If this gift doesn't show how much I care,
I have REAL hugs & kisses to share!

I printed it on light pink paper and then I am going to glue it to a little bit darker pink paper. Then I will let them put stickers and color on it for their moms. Of course, I have little hershey kisses and hugs in a bag with a ribbon around it. It is really simple and I think it's great for the younger age children who cannot write and such! So, if your child is in our nursery class and you read this before Sunday, sorry..no surprise for you (act surprised for the sake of your little child though:). If you have any other Mother's Day ideas for nusery and primary age children, please share!

Your idea is really cute!
My favorite that I received was when we lived in AZ. Lexi's nursery got these cheap canvas aprons and had the kids put their handprints upside down on it with paint. Then they painted the saying, "World's Best Mom
Hands Down"
It was sooo sweet it made me cry.
My favorite Father's Day idea was from the same nursery. They got super cheapo ties and a picture of Lexi put on some sort of canvassy fabric and sewed it onto the fat end of the tie. It was sooo cute!!!
