(post by Marissa..obviously) Right after Christmas, the stores start bringing out spring clothes. I, however, am not ready for it yet then. I mean do you really think I can wear a light dress in 30 degree weather? I just received lots of new winter clothes that I am excited to wear. It's cold and I enjoy wearing black. So those original spring clothes have come and gone from the stores. Luckily, I didn't buy any so I don't have clothes that are already last season before the season hits. However, I am now starting to get excited about spring clothing. Every fall I get so excited to start wearing winter clothes. I think I do like winter clothes a little more, but I am getting very excited for peep toes, bare legs, and lighter materials. With pedicured toes and manicured nails (I painted my own nails..and let them actually dry so they don't have smudges for once), I am ready! With that excitement, I started perusing online to see what was out. I have discovered that I am a BR (banana republic) girl by winter, but def a JCrew girl by summer. I love the JCrew summer things that are out. They are so fresh and preppy and I just love the colors, styles, etc. So now I just need to go visit mi mama to do some shopping! Sorry, men I know you think this post has no point..but it def does. Spring shopping is an important time of the year..just like the first day of fishing season is important to you... and for those of you who have seen The Devil Wears Prada.."that's what this billion dollar industry is all about..inner beauty." I love that movie!!

Love the whole outfit..My mom actually bought me the bermuda shorts this exact blue from JCrew last season, so now I just need the top and cute belt!

Hi Marissa and Steve. Marissa, I am not sure if you know who I am so I apologize if this seems odd. The Jensen’s were a significant part of my life in high school, so it’s been really special for me to find them through this blogging experience and see how amazing their lives are now. Marissa, I LOVE those tops!!! So cute! I just went to Banana Republic in Park City last Saturday and got a few really cute pieces for spring/summer. I don't think I've ever purchased anything from JCrew--maybe I should:)
I haven't shopped at J.Crew in a while, but I am drooling over the Spring line! There is a ruffly yellow dress in the catalog that Janelle and I are both in love with. You definitely need to get the whole bermuda shorts outfit, it's very you.
Hey Heather...How are you? Things are going great and the warm weather has already arrived. Yesterday it was 84 degrees! Today it's only in the 70s, but we'll take it. I checked out your blog and it was good to see pictures of the Gourley fam. Tell your parents and Norm hello for me. Take care!
