Recommended Read

(post by Marissa) This book is really good. It will strengthen even the best marriages. I read it before we got married, but it's always a good reminder to read it again! I remember after the first time I read it, Steve totally noticed something was different in our relationship. Men are simple beings with a few simple needs. I highly recommend it..and you never know if you read it and implement it very quickly you may have the best V-day ever!! I dont think your husband would mind watching the kids while you read this type of book :).

Marissa, I found your blog through Barb's blog. How are you liking Texas? I hope it is treating you well! I sure miss it. (We are in Washington state now--Mike is working for Microsoft.) I hope you are both doing well. I sure do miss book clubs with everyone from Utah. (Oh, and thanks for the book recommendation.)

We are doing well...expecting another boy in April. I hope we will come back to Texas eventually, but in the meantime, I am enjoying the cooler weather in Washington. Yeah, Mike still read all of the books. Now he does more reading than I do! I am glad to hear that you guys are enjoying Texas. By the way, if you want to go look, our blog is mikeandangela.blogspot.com.

I also love this book and think it should be read whenever you're feeling the least bit of contempt toward your mate... :)
For some reason, no matter how upset I can be about an issue with you know who :) My feelings are flipped upside down! Maybe she's a mind manipulator. :)
Seriously, though, it is a good book.

Miss, that is funny, I read this book before i got married as well, it is a great book, if your married it should be on the shelf, and read every few years!!! I have another recommendation "His Needs, Her Needs" It talks about what the husband and the WIFE need in a relationship...
both excellent books!!!

I agree! I've read this book once and think I'm going to do it again sice our dynamics are a bit different now with a child.

So, what are the top take-aways from this book? I never cook, but probably should. My mom came to stay with us and was amazed at how clean our oven was. That was because I had practically never used it before! Thanks for the tips!
