(Post by Marissa) A little hint to help the wallet at this Christmas Season. I started using promo codes about 6 months ago and I'm hooked. I never go shopping or check out online without first searching for a promo code. I never pay for shipping and usually get a discount off the total. Maybe it's my competitiveness, but it's like a competition with myself to see how much I can take off the total.
How to Do It: Type the name of the company + promo code. A lot of times you can print out the coupon and use it in the store.
Example: My mom took me shopping and I printed off a 20% off total purchase at Banana Republic..she was very impressed! We saved a lot of money. I also printed off a 15% off one item. Therefore, on one item, we saved nearly 35%!
Depending on your favorite store, some stores offer more promo codes than others. Banana Republic (I'm assuming Gap and Old Navy as well) always have something. My mom took us shopping over Thanksgiving and I knew what stores we were probably going to go to so I went online and searched for promo codes for the different stores. She appreciated that I was trying to save her some money! If you are looking for Anthropologie discounts....keep looking. They don't do them! I hope you can find some savings!
Happy Shopping. (If anyone knows how to put up a word or excel doc, I have a ton of promo codes that someone sent me, but I am not sure how to post an excel or word doc on the blog.)

same here - love promo codes!
Agreed. I saved like $200 at Banana with the discount codes/coupons I had. Definitely a must.
Hey! I just stumbled across your blog from facebook. You have so many great insights! Many thanks! I'd love to see your spreadsheet! Also, I am glad you posted about the great stroller--we found out we're having a baby in March--and I need ideas! Great "consumer reports!" Fun!
