I must admit, when I first heard that Mitt Romney was running for President, the only thing I knew about him was he owned a huge house in Park City, was the governor of Massachussetts, and managed the Olympics in Salt Lake City. I didn't think he'd last and have to drop out as soon as people started asking him if he had more than one wife, worshipped Joseph Smith, or wore magic underwear. The fact is, now I am convinced; I am a true believer.
Mitt Romney has built foundations in three critical states: IO, NH, and SC. And as Fred Barnes, a political analyst, noted, "If he wins in Iowa and New Hampshire, he'll have history on his side. No presidential candidate in either party has failed to win the presidential nomination after finishing first in Iowa and New Hampshire--that is, since 1972." In certain polls, Romney now leads in all three states.
For a better understanding of Romney's stance on important issues, click on this link: Mitt Romney for President - MyManMitt.com - Issues. His views on terrorism are particularly interesting to me. I feel he understands the issue and will properly deal with it as president.

Aside from his stance on issues, I trust that Romney's dedication to family values and morals align with my own. My brother wrote a blog addressing this same idea. A president should not only react to and solve important social and political problems, but he should also be aware of and proactively prevent, mitigate, or even reverse such problems. I believe that securing and protecting the basic unit of society--the family--is the best way to do this, and I am confident that Mitt Romney would agree. I cannot say the same for any other candidate.
Yes, I am Mormon and so is Mitt. But so is Harry Reid, and I certainly wouldn't vote for him even though he probably believes strongly in the family unit. The point is, you need a president who possesses both the requisite level of competance and values to lead this country, and Mitt Romney is no doubt the best candidate.

(by marissa) As a sidenote - We all know people vote from their pockets. Now that I am in the wonderful world of the working class, I def. want Romney to win because he won't raise taxes and he can hopefully balance the budget. A democrat would certainly change some of the tax laws that are supposed to change in 2009 such as the 15% capital gains tax and the inheritance tax.
You guys definitely get the vote for most interesting blog posts. Everything from WWIII to the Word of Wisdom, and even a bit of Mitt. Very informative and thought provoking... sort of a "Jensen Encyclopedia". :)
You guys are great!

I enjoy checking in on your blog! Its always interesting, informative and to the point! Post some more pics!
I would have to agree with you Steve, Mitt Romney is a great candidate. He's the only candidate in decades who belongs to, and believes in, a strong family unity. Although the family element is a strong aspect of his profile, I think the attribute that will get him the 2008 go-ahead comes from him being so business savvy. He’s got the wits to make things happen. I believe he may even have my vote, and you know that’s pushing it.
Hmm... were you referring to Ben's blog?
yes, I was referring to Ben's blog about his response to Glen Beck.
