Getting ready for the Baby

I really need to do a lot of writing in the baby department. I haven't recorded much at all.  I am almost 38 week pregnant.  I have quite a few relatively strong contractions.  There have been a few days where I thought maybe  I will have the baby.  We have purchased most of the necessities and have the basics for her nursery as well.  I still need some items on the wall, a lamp, chandelier, and a few baskets.  She has a coming home outfit and some other cute outfits.  I am feeling pretty ready.  I bought her some bracelets and bows today.  I am scheduled to be induced on May 26th.  The date really is perfect. Tball and Soccer are over.  All the school programs have been attended.  It is right before a long weekend and after our anniversary . The plan is to go out on a date this Saturday and finish any last minute things we need to.  I have an agenda for pretty much everyday this week.  Then we are done and ready for this baby.  I certainly get the nesting the last few weeks.  All I want to do is projects and check things off the list.  Steve has been helpful to assist with my list. I would love to meet this baby sooner and I love the excitement of going into labor but I also know the 26th is a good date so I'm trying to be grateful she isn't here yet.  I seem to get antsier and antsier with each baby!  We are all excited.  Ava asks all the time if I am having contractions.  She is so cute.  If you ask Liam where the baby is, he points to my stomach. I am excited for Noah to be able to help with her and hopefully they have a special little bond.  He has wanted a baby sister.

Ava's Program and Young Author

Ava lives for the Challenger Programs.  She absolutely loves them.  She has always loved singing and they sing quite a bit at Challenger. She did such a cute cute job.  Beginning in Kindergarten they have to write a story.  The program is called Young Author.  A group of judges picks the top 3 from each class.  Ava's story was selected for number 2 in her class.  I was so proud of her because she usually doesn't enjoy writing that much.  She had a lot of fun with it.  We have been so lucky to have such great teachers for Ava.  I hope Noah gets a wonderful Kindergarten teacher.

Happy Mother's Day

Well I was sort of dreading/preparing myself for this week for a little while.  My mom's birthday is May 4th and Mother's Day is always right around her birthday as well.  Luckily on the 4th I stayed busy which helped.  Mother's Day I had a lot of mixed emotions.  I thought to give a good book to the people I visit teach and that helped.  I know it's what my mom would have wanted me to do with the money I didnt spend on her.  I let Steve take care of the gift for his mom. I was sort of checked out mentally from all of it.  My cute friend, Meghan brought by a treat basket for Mother's Day.  She is always always thinking of me.  Steve and the kids really did a great job making my day.  Steve went to the store to get food for us to cook on Sunday.  Then Sunday morning, the kids had cards for me.  Steve also had a card.  He got me a gold watch which I have been wanting and some new sunglasses, which I also have been wanting.  Steve grilled steak.  We had salad, fruit, veggies, grilled steak and chicken and Angel Food cake for dessert.  Steve also built a huge fort for the kids.  Overall, it was a great day.  I only cried a little when I saw and sang part of "Love is Spoken Here."  We sang that song at my mom's funeral and she used to sing it whenever we would be fighting so it's a tough song for me to hear.

Swimming

Our neighbors have a pool and they heat it pretty warm.  The kids absolutely love going there and swimming with their friends.  They are always waiting for the invite to go swim.  They have twin girls Ava's age and a boy Noah's age so it works perfectly.

Noah's Spring Program

Much anticipated spring program arrived! Noah did fabulous.  He knew the songs and smiled and sang.  He wanted to wear his cardigan to look sharp.  His teacher said he was one of the best singers. I love watching them perform and see them confidently do their parts.  Noah's good friend in the class is Corvin.  He has become a really good reader.  Liam and I had some time to kill so we walked the outlets.  Liam loves to just be free and explore.  I went into a few stores without the stroller and he played in the mirror at JCrew for 10 minutes.  He was playing peek a boo and laughing and making faces.  It was cute.  He tried picking up m and m's from the floor so of course I had to get him a little treat.

Day with Friends

Ava had Paityn over and of course the boys always want to join in.  Ava and Paityn rode the wiggle  bikes down the sidewalk.  Noah drove the red car and would bring the bikes back up for the girls.  Liam got on his orange motorcycle to join the fun.  He is getting a lot better at driving it.

Noah has style

Noah is our little shopper.  He may not like when we are shopping for groceries or things not for him.  However, get him in a place where he can get something and he loves to shop.  He also really likes ot use all of his stuff.  He recently has been really into his sport coat he got for Christmas pictures.  He also put a few pieces of gum in it which is what Steve does.
